Equalize Health Earns 4-star Rating from Charity Navigator

08 September 2021

Earlier this month, Equalize Health was awarded a coveted 4-out-of-4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This 4-star rating is a result of Equalize Health’s maintaining sound fiscal management and a persistent commitment to accountability and transparency in our pursuit to design and deliver life-saving medical technology to the people who need it the most.

We simply could not have received this recognition without the trust of our supporters and partners. Your commitment to our mission means so much to our team, the healthcare providers we design for, and the patients we reach with our world-class, affordable technology.

Learn more about the impactful work that contributed to Equalize Health’s 4-star rating in our 2020 Annual Report.

Equalize Health’s exceptional 4-star rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public. Only a quarter of charities rated by Charity Navigator receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. This adds Equalize Health to a preeminent group of charities working to overcome our world’s most pressing challenges. Based on its 4-star rating, people can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical charity when they decide to support Equalize Health.

- Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator

This 4-star rating from Charity Navigator adds to our other top-rated accolades from charity evaluators including a Platinum Seal from GuideStar and being named one of The Life You Can Save’s “Best Charities for Effective Giving.” It also comes at a time where we’ve recently achieved an important impact milestone - treating over one million patients with our medical technology. The majority of these patients treated are newborn babies, born in challenging circumstances and with life-threatening conditions who otherwise would not receive effective care.

We believe that being a non-profit organization requires more rigor, accountability, and responsibility than in a for-profit setting - not less. Receiving top ratings from the premier charity evaluators demonstrates our commitment to our supporters and the people they entrust us to serve.

As the pandemic continues to underscore the urgent need for accessible and equitable health care, we thank those who have been a part of our dogged pursuit to create medical technology for everyone.
